Minimally Invasive Parotidectomy

Due to recent advances in the field of head and neck surgery, various minimally invasive
techniques are in practice.
It uses a remote incision or endoscopic technique that confers maximum benefit for the patient.
Advantages of these endoscopic techniques are better visualization, minimal/hidden scar,
minimal post-operative pain improving the overall quality of life of patients.
A 28 year old female patient noticed a swelling at the parotid region for 6months and was diagnosed to be a case of pleomorphic adenoma of left parotid. Patient was concerned about the scar as she had her wedding planned. Hence minimally invasive Endoscopic parotidectomy via hairline incision for better cosmetic results was performed. Patient and her family members are absolutely satisfied with the better aesthetic results. She is being followed up for past 1 year without any tumor recurrence and without any scar.
